During this time of unrest in the United Methodist Church, faithful believers are searching for answers, information, but most of all connection. With congregations disaffiliating, members leaving and others feeling lost in their own church, NGCM is here to help keep you informed and connected.
Opportunities to meet, study and worship together are so important. Bible study opportunties are growing steadily as are opportunities to gather for praise and worship. Many of these meetings take place off of church properties and give members of different congregations a chance to connect and fellowship together.
Even though extensive changes are happening within their denomnation, many Methodist want badly to remain with their local church. This desire is tempered by underlying beliefs, values and theological foundations. In this ever-changing environment, existing members of the UMC need information about what is happening in their denomination. The Happenings & Insights section will deliver relevant content for members' consideration and edification.
Church families are very important to faith life. As with any family, there will be differences of
opinion, belief and behavior
which creates challenges and turmoil. We find our way through these times of turmoil by turning to God's word and letting Him be our guide. We hope the resources in this area will be helpful to you with this process.
